I was up at the Y today having a cup of coffee, when T.J. says "wow" or something to that effect. She draws my attention to an article in Newsweek, Jan 11, 2010. called House of Worship: Finding Spirituality at Home, by Lisa Miller. The most notable point being that 7% of Americans meet in home based church meetings. According to the article the proliferation of house churches may be a backlash against the mega-church and CEO pastor models from the 80's. People are looking for something more intimate, more genuine. This is encouraging to me when I think about our fellowship.
