Effective Effects for Flyers - in Word

Here is a flyer that I designed for Prayerperation, a multi-church event that took place in South Minneapolis. Admittedly the text at the bottom still needs some work, but I want to point out what I did with the title and image. The image is a shot of the Minneapolis skyline that I "borrowed" from the web. I used the "soft edges" effect in M.S. Word to give to create an ethereal effect. Then using "text effects" I created a the solid 3D text that rises out of the city. My overall intent was to suggest that the reality of prayer(the focus of the event,) transcends the every day life of the city.
