Team Preaching

Since our pastor Mark Johnson left us for New Zealand (God rest his soul), our church has decided to strike out in a new direction.  Rather than having a single preacher, we are going to try having a team preach through a book of the Bible. This approach should have a number of advantages,

1. It will allow each preacher the time to reflect on a passage and deliver the best sermon possible
2. It will take the focus off of a personality and places it on the Word of God (where it should be)
3. It will open the door for more people with a gift for preaching to use it
4. It will make the departure old and introduction of new preachers smoother.

Wendy and Noah Schneider are setting up the first preaching team for a trial run which will take us through the book of 1 Peter. Wendy (a fellow Bethel graduate,) has provided us with the following articles about team teaching.  As they are available online I have linked to them here.
